HISTORY The "Contour Method" has evolved from a well proven method which was developed over thirty years. Alan Benfield Bush, a director and partner of Vidal Sasson, invented a revolutionary method of doing hair which he name "Condensed Cutting".
Alan Benfield Bush, a Modern Salon Magazine's top 100 teacher, started his career in England working with Vidal Sasson. When Vidal Sasson expanded his salons and academies from England to America, he was assisted by Alan Benfield Bush. Later, Alan Benfield Bush helped to direct and to manage Sasson's schools in California while attending to clients in the salons. Over thirty years ago, while in California, Mr. Bush pondered how hair is shaped and colored in relationship to the curves and features of his clients head. Based on Alan Benfield Bush's theories and experiences, he developed his revolutionary and unique system he coined "Condensed Cutting". With the blessings from Vidal Sasson, Alan Benfield Bush started his own academy "ABBA" - (Alan Benfield Bush Academy).
In the mid 90's, I had the priveledge to work with Alan Benfield Bush and to learn from the originator of the "Condensed Cutting Method". The "Contour Method" reflects my personal inputs and theories from my years of working with Mr. Bush and the other fine artists. The "Contour Method" is a salon tested and proven method. It gives any hair cut a better shape, and produces haircolor that is more flattering.
